blog24 - A wedding at Brewerstreet Farmhouse

Our clients Jenny & Andy got married this weekend at Brewerstreet Farmhouse. Although the weather wasn’t at its best, the day was wonderful. The lovely couple had decorated the interior of the marquee quite simple, however, with a few small touches their marquee was one of the most thoughtful we’d seen in a while. As the guests started arriving they entered past the marquee and into the beautiful garden of Brewerstreet, waiting for the arrival of the Bride & Groom. While they waited, we served their guests sparkling wine & Pimm’s as well as circling with canapés. Outside the marquee there was a giant Jenga game, which guests could write on and play with the children; a nice keepsake idea for future couples.

When it was time to dine, guests came into the marquee and congratulated the newly-weds on their beautiful day. Inside the marquee they had a guitarist playing while they ate their starter of Parma Ham & Chargrilled Asparagus Salad. After the dessert our staff filled everyone’s glass with sparkling wine to encourage the speeches to start and what lovely speeches they were.

As the evening guests arrived Jenny & Andy were chatting to all their loved ones that came to celebrate their marriage with them, and with a push from the band they had their first dance right after they cut their wedding cake, which was, of course, the popular ‘naked cake’ that is trending at the moment.

There were many DIY touches to this wedding including; a home-made floral table plan, blackboard plaques with romantic stories of the Bride & Groom and an illustrated poster that guests can colour in and leave messages for the happy couple. Each guest had their own place name written on a small blackboard plaque to take home and keep as a reminder of this special day. We had a lovely time catering Jenny & Andy’s wedding and we wanted to share a few photos & a video with you. Please follow the link below, to watch their video:
