Congratulations Georgie & Dave!!
What a amazing day at Slaugham!.
We are so lucky that we have been able to licence the ruins at Slaugham Manor.
Georgie and Dave were one of our couples to quickly snap up the opportunity, and it was beyond magnificent.
Their marquee was filled with lanterns, candles and trailing ivy and flowers from a giant reef above top table.
They chose a gorgeous naked sponge cake perched on top of a wooden trug surrounded also by flowers and berries.
All the tables were named after pubs in Brighton, and of course top table was named after were they had met.
Their “guest book” was a grand screen print of Brighton, perfectly fitting for their theme.
As Dave waited for Georgie the guests sat outside the arches in the warmest of weathers, summer is here!
Georgie arrived with her brother and bridesmaids in a big old landcover ready to walk down the aisle.
Her dressed was a restored 50’s original with ornate intricate gold threading, and the bridesmaids were decked out in possibly the most fabulous cowboy boots we have seen!
Two by two the bridesmaids walked down the aisle followed by Georgie and her brother.
The Wedding was also filmed by Daves own videography company “Wild stag studio”, Jamie his co-worker was lovely! They must make a amazing team.
The ceremony was filled with giggles and smiles, and the couple walked out as Husband and Wife to a shower of bubles opposed to confetti (it was brilliant)
For the reception they dined on “Ham-eal” a gin based cocktail based on there surnames and I’m sure on their love of gin!
After canapés in the sun it was time for dining and speeches.
Food was eaten in no time and the speeches were beyond hilarious and yet very heart warming.
They cut the cake ( and a lot perhaps forcefully fed to Dave! ) and it was time for the first dance.
They chose a song by Nathaniel Ratcliff for their first dance and then swiftly moved on to the disco.
We loved this wedding, quirky and wonderful, if only we could live it again!
