This week we visited Richard & Sarah’s wedding in East Sussex. They had a festival-chic theme for their wedding and it worked extremely well at their venue, Richards family home. There were many hidden aspects of their wedding reception; a gin & tonic bar with games, a chill out section, the front garden and then toilets were hidden away in true festival style.
Once the guests had arrived our waiting staff served reception drinks while our chefs prepared canapés. The sun was shining and Richard & Sarah’s guests enjoyed the garden games while their wedding photos began. The marquee interior was simple but organic with beautiful greenery hanging from the ceiling, the marquee was set between the pear & apple tree’s making it a nice secluded area for dining & dancing. The dining area was separate from the dancing area, with a reveal curtain covering the dance floor until the evening party began.
Everyone entered the marquee and found their seats from the window pain table plan. Name cards were found around guests glasses, printed on beads. Once everyone was seated the new Mr & Mrs Everall cut their home made gin & tonic cake with a sword belonging to the best man’s grandfather. This was later to be served as their dessert. To begin their dining experience our chefs served them our Crab & Prawn Tian, followed by our Confit of Duck with a salad twist. The wedding cake was served and the speeches began, which was shortly follow by Richard & Sarah’s first dance.
All of our favourite photos from Richard & Sarah’s wedding day are below, we will be posting a short wedding film from their special day at the end of the week, so keep posted!
