Congratulations Tamer & Nicola!
What a Special day
Tamer and Nicola celebrated the day in Turkish style.
Set amongst the grounds of Starborough manor sits our pink Turkish dream.
The couple were lucky enough to have their wedding blessing in the ceremony tent facing out to Starborough manors lake.
The sun held out long enough to enjoy the views and indulge in the fizz and canapés outside, it was truly glorious.
With a bouncy castle and games outside the children could really go wild, I think most of us were envious of the bouncy castle!!
Inside the marquee was chairs adorned with pink frills, sparkly table runners and beautiful table roses.
A palace of dreams topped of with turkish sweets covered in nuts and all the sugar, really something to look at!
Every detail was perfect, something Nicola put a lot of time and effort into making.
Her daughter told me she made quite a few of the items in the marquee, impressive!
The menu of course had a slight Turkish twist!
The starter and main took on some Turkish favourite snacks for example;
The starter featured of course stuffed vine leaves amongst others.
For Main course was a selection of BBQ treat, lamb.. prawns.. chicken.
Finishing of the meal with our trio of dessert.
Evening food was a lamb spit roast, a exciting and tasty change from our beloved hog roast.
The day ended with the speeches, were Tamer made it clear that he had the upper hand on any embarrassing stories his best men might drag
out in their speeches by getting there first! This had everyone in stitches with the odd underpants and photos flying about.
The evening started with the first dance, but not their first dance .. but Tamers!
Turkish tradition is that the groom has his first dance with all his nearest and dearest.
All I can say about this dance is that there was a big circle of suited men having the best time at being overtly silly.
By the end of the song the dance floor was filled with all their friends and everyone was ready to dance the night away.
Congratulations once again, it was a very beautiful day.
